Goals

•    To enhance the current web site for promoting remote sensing activities in Kentucky
•    To hold free, multi-day summer workshops for the purpose of providing remote sensing training for K-12 teachers
•    To develop a ‘speaker roster’ of statewide remote sensing experts/practitioners for use by community organizations and others (Women’s Club, Rotary, watershed groups, 4-H clubs, schools, etc.) interested in learning more about remote sensing
•    To survey local governments as to the types of remote sensing products/training they need to facilitate their various services and activities
•    To develop training workshop for local government personnel in which existing and/or newly developed data products would be presented and explained.
•    To develop ties with neighboring StateView consortia to share resources and programs that address regional issues and needs
•    To support regional workshops and conferences among neighboring StateView consortia
•    To strengthen the visibility of remote sensing by participating in AmericaView’s national public relations efforts
